Today was our last day of school! Students celebrated with an End of the Year Party including popsicles, recess, and dancing!
Thank you for such an incredible year, Lions. We cannot wait to see what next year will bring us! Have an adventure-filled and restful summer! We will miss you, Lions.
Yesterday, both Kindergarten classes celebrated their year together with a special awards ceremony! Some of the awards presented included “Book Worm” and “Class Comedian”. Students even enjoyed a special cookie treat after the ceremony to honor their transition to first grade!
To celebrate a successful year, we will be having a few surprise school appropriate dress-down days!
Tuesday, May 24th: Grab a friend and dress to impress for Twin Day! You may dress-down as long you coordinate your attire with a friend (or two, or three)!
Wednesday, May 25th: Show some Lion Pride with Spirit Day! Wear any of your Canyon Pointe Spirit shirts and blue denim bottoms.
Thursday, May 26th: Students may dress down for the last day of school!
Tomorrow is Friday and all 6th Grade Lions are encouraged not to eat breakfast before school! It is our Annual 6th Grade Breakfast including pancakes, waffles, and all of the yummy fixings (syrups, fruits, Nutella, sprinkles and whip cream, of course)! We will also be having a unique awards ceremony to honor our students as they get ready to head to the Prep next year! It’s going to be a great start to a great day!
Tomorrow, May 20th, will be our final Swap Shop of the year! Be sure to bring your hard-earned Lion Bucks and a bag to hold all of your goodies!
Yesterday, our Kinder classes hosted “Donuts with Dad”. Fathers and important male figures in the lives of our students came in to enjoy a donut with both Kindergarten classes. They were also given a special sheet where students talked about their dad’s superpowers. What a fun a delicious morning! Thank you for joining us!
Tomorrow, May 18th, K-3rd graders will be having their last Snapshot of the year. To get ready for summer and upcoming vacations, they will be watching Alvin & the Chipmunks: The Road Chip!
K-3rd graders may also wear school-appropriate pajamas for our special Snapshot! If pajamas are not worn, standard uniforms must be worn.
Please, be sure your student has their permission form signed and turned in to the office before Wednesday.
Our last 4A-Day of the year, Field Day, is tomorrow and the weather looks fantastic! It is going to be perfect for a day of water-play activities. Please, be sure your students have the following items/information:
1. Come to school in clothes that can get wet and flip flops!
2. Be sure to bring a towel and a set of dry clothes to change into after Field Day (sending a grocery bag for the wet stuff is a good idea)!
3. Sunscreen must be applied before school. Teachers cannot apply or re-apply sunscreen.
4. Bring a packed lunch! The Café will be closed all day.
TOMORROW IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!
Now that our temperatures seem to be on a steady rise, please, be sure your student has a full bottle of water when they come to school each day. They are encouraged to refill from the drinking fountains throughout the day.
The Café also sells cold water bottles available for purchase ($0.50).
