Police Safety Event

The Lions wanted to say a special “thank you” to the City of Phoenix Police for coming to our Police Safety Event!

Students were able to see the incredible equipment and tools utilized by the police department each day. Lions also got to see a variety of vehicles including an air unit that flew in just for the event! McGruff the Crime Dog even made a special appearance.

Thank you for coming out to inform us and thank you for all that you do to keep our community safe!

And the Winner is…

The winner of our Earth Day t-shirt designing contest is Hannah! Students can purchase a t-shirt for $10 before school in the Café each day next week. Proceeds from the t-shirt sales will go towards the purchase a tree for our Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony.
This year’s shirts can be worn with school appropriate bottoms all next week in celebration of Earth Week. T-shirts can then be worn as a spirit shirt on Fridays! Have a great weekend and remember – REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE!

The Island of Lost Things…..

Now that the weather is beginning to warm up, we do not need our jackets quite as long throughout the day. They are accidentally being left all over campus. There are also many water bottles and lunch boxes

Please, encourage your child to make a trip to the Café to see if any of their belongings have found their way to the Lost and Found. Parents are welcome to come in between 7:30-7:55am to check for items.  Due to the amount of items accumulated, anything left after next Friday, April 22nd, will be donated. Thank you!

Principal and Vice Principal For A Day!

Wednesday, we had an amazing Principal and Vice Principal for the day! The students did an incredible job helping Mrs. Fallon, including helping out with the K-3 Teddy Bear Picnic Snapshot.

The gentlemen even assisted Mrs. Fallon with the Bean-Boozaled-Challenge! Students who turned in their Reading Logs for February get to choose if Mrs. Fallon ate a jelly bean or they get to brave the mysterious beans. She has eaten a whole bunch of moldy cheese and rotten egg beans this week! Great Reading Lions!

Earth Week Spirit Competition

Our 5th and 6th grade students worked so hard on their designs for our Earth Week Spirit Shirt Competition. Our theme this year is “Keep it Clean, Go Green!” and each of the submissions reflected the theme well. Students are currently voting on which they would like to be turned into a special spirit shirt.

The winner will be announced soon and the winning shirts will be available to purchase the entire week of Earth Week (April 25th -April 29th).
