Enrollment for 2019-2020

Enrollment Season for the 2019 – 2020 school year has officially begun! Although we have an incredible second half of this year left, we are excited to already be planning for next year!

I strongly believe that much of Canyon’s success comes from our commitment to be a family. As you all know, we pride ourselves on creating a community-focused environment that strives for academic excellence while also providing students with the freedom and courage to try new things.

Do you have other family members or friends with school age children? I encourage you to invite them to come visit our campus and consider becoming part of the Lion family. Interested families may schedule a tour by phone, emailing me directly, or using our website. Families may also attend one of our scheduled evening tours. You can sign up for a campus tour for the day or evening here. Please see the dates below of our upcoming evening tours:

Tuesday, February 12th at 6 pm

Tuesday, March 12th at 6 pm

Donuts with the Principal

Today two of my friends, Cheyenne and Fatima, shared some delicious donuts with me. We talked about how interesting math could be. I told them the story of Hedy Lamarr, the inventor whose discoveries made Bluetooth possible and a beautiful Hollywood actress, and Katherine Johnson, who worked at NASA and was celebrated in the movie “Hidden Figures.”

They won donuts with me through entering a drawing at Swap Shop at the end of 2nd quarter. We joked about counting how many Lion Bucks they entered in the drawing in order to figure out the probability of them winning the donuts.

On Friday, I will be having an ice cream snack with last quarter’s winners.

Look for your chance to win for 3rd quarter.

Pajama Dress-Down Day!

We will be having a special Pajama Dress-Down Day tomorrow, December 19th, so make sure to come in your comfiest, school-appropriate pjs as we enjoy our last day together before Winter Break! Also, make sure to get those Lion Bucks ready as we will be having Swap Shop!

Please, remember that Wednesday, December 19th will be a half day with dismissal beginning at 12:00pm. Lion’s Den will not be available so please ensure that your kiddo is picked up no later than 12:30pm.

Holiday Hours
There will be no school and the office will be closed December 20th – January 4th.
